THE UNRELENTING SNOW
It dawned.
It was a wonderful dawn indeed.
For all around my house, was a carpet of silvery snow.
The sun has just risen.
But its rays however, could not melt the snow.
The snow was like a mirror reflecting the beautiful nature.
Under the trees, the snow reflected green rays,
And the trees looked like young women draped in green.
The sun moved up higher in the sky.
But its forceful rays could still not melt the snow.
And all of a sudden,
There was a pounding noise of bombs and guns in the air.
The ears quaked and the frightened birds hovered in the sky.
The tiny tots abandoned their play and ran for shelter
And the snow remained a silent spectator.
The blood of dying men and women fell on the hard snows.
And at last, the snow gave in!
The stone – like snow melted.
And a tiny red stream was flowing by the mountain side!
